杭州爱乐乐团于2007年12月25日挂牌，2009年4月20日组建完成。由邓京山任团长，杨洋任艺术总监兼首席指挥，林尚专任副团长，林大叶任驻团指挥，著名小提琴演奏家宁峰任驻团艺术家，薛飚任乐团首席，徐惟聆任客席首席。杭州爱乐乐团现有76名演奏员，全都毕业于国内外各大著名高等音乐学院，其中三分之一是博士、硕士生，并特邀部分外籍演奏家加盟。所有乐手都训练有素、技艺精湛，其中不乏国际比赛获奖者。
杭州爱乐乐团虽然成立时间不久，但成绩瞩目。在艺术总监杨洋的带领下，曾经和小提琴演奏家吕思清、宁峰、钱舟、李传韵，圆号演奏家韩铣光，小号演奏家冀瑞凯等有过精彩的合作，并与闵惠芬、张强、袁莉、谭蔚等著名民乐表演艺术家以及共同成功举办了多场激动人心的音乐会。同时，很多国际知名音乐家也曾执棒杭州爱乐乐团的音乐会，包括美国小提琴家兼指挥家Joseph Silverstein、法国指挥家Alain Paris，中国著名作曲家兼指挥家何占豪，他们都对杭州爱乐做出了极高的评价。至此，杭州爱乐乐团已成功举办了贝多芬系列音乐会，莫扎特专场音乐会，中国风系列音乐会，影视专场音乐会，以及《梁祝》小提琴协奏曲创作五十周年音乐会等多场高水准的音乐会。与此同时，乐团还举行过多场公益性音乐会，把普通市民请入了高雅的音乐殿堂，收到了很好的社会反响。此外，杭州爱乐乐团还在“第五届中国上海国际青年钢琴大赛”中担任伴奏。乐团还将携手更多的国际知名艺术家，如德国指挥家Klaus Weise，著名指挥家陈燮阳，美国钢琴大师Gary Graffman，韩国钢琴演奏家白建羽，大提琴演奏家王健，钢琴演奏家陈萨，小提琴演奏家谢楠，大提琴家秦立巍，钢琴演奏家宋思衡等，努力朝着一流乐团的方向迈进，为杭州乃至中国交响事业的繁荣做出贡献。
Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra was founded on December 25, 2007 and completed its establishment on April 20, 2009, with Deng Jingshan as the President, Yang Yang as the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Lin Shangzhuan as the Vice President, and Lin Daye as the Resident Conductor. Besides, in the Orchestra, Ning Feng, the famed violinist, is the Artist in Residence, Xue Biao is the Concertmaster, and Xu Weiling is the Guest Concertmaster. There are totally 76 players, all of whom graduated from distinguished higher music institutions in China and abroad. One third of the players hold Master’s Degrees and Doctor’s Degrees. Furthermore, there are several foreign performers joined in Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. On all accounts, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra players are well-trained with gifted performing skills which have been approved of awards from international contests.
Despite of short history since its foundation, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra had much outstanding and approved achievement. With instructions from Yang Yang, the Artistic Director, the Orchestra had splendid cooperative performances with Violinist Lv Siqing, Ning Feng, Qian Zhou, Li Chuanyun, Horn Master Han Xianguang, Trumpet Master Ji Ruikai, etc, as well as admired concerts with folk music performers and artists Min Huifen, Zhang Qiang, Yuan Li, Tan Wei, and illustrious and noted singers such as Liao Changyong, Dai Yuqiang, Zhang Ye, Zhang Jianyi, Lv Jihong, Lv Wei, Huang Ying, Yao Hong, Zhang Liping, Wu Bixia, Sun Xiuwei, Yang Jie, Ding Yi, Yuan Chenye. At one time, lots of international musicians of great distinction, including American conductor and violinist Joseph Silverstein, French conductor Alain Paris, Chinese composer and conductor He Zhanhao, had a chance to conduct Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra concerts, and expressed high evaluation and appraise. Since its foundation, the Orchestra had successfully held high standard concerts as Beethoven Concerts Series, Mozart Concert, Cathay Style Concerts Series, Film Music Concert, and Fifty-Year Anniversary of Butterfly Lovers Composing Concert time after time. The Orchestra also held concerts for public, introducing elegant music to citizens, which had won much praise and social approval. In addition, the Orchestra was responsible for accompaniment at the Fifth China Shanghai International Youth Piano Contest. Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra would have more cooperation with international famed artists as German Conductor Klaus Weise, famed conductor Chen Xieyang, American Piano Maestro Gary Graffman, Korean Piano Master Kun-Woo Paik, Cellist Wang Jian, Pianist Chen Sa, Violinist Xie Nan, Cellist Qin Liwei, Pianist Song Siheng, and so on. Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra is approaching the goal of professional orchestra of international standards, contributing to symphony in Hangzhou and China.
